This weeks SundayPostcardArt was chosen by Sandie and the theme is TRADITIONS
Christmas, for me, is probably the most traditional time. Our family traditions start on Christmas Eve with a takeaway pizza. And then on Boxing day we've always had a retro buffet.
My postcard features a tree. As a child with always had a real tree, it seemed so big and we always had candles on it which were lit on Christmas Day. I think this tradition comes from my mum as shes German.

Hi everyone
Here's my postcard for last weeks SundayPostcardArt.... Peggy chose RECIPES as a theme.
I used a stamped image for the recipe of the gingerbread cookies.
i love my dogs so much. I have 6 altogether.
My Mr Petrie is the oldest, hes now 13. Then Prudence, my first Romanian rescue... So much part of my heart. Our 2 other Romanian rescues, Betsy and Fleur are both differently abled each with 3 legs. And last but not least are our 2 tiny chihuahuas, Frida and Kahlo
The next picture is for perspective as the girls look ginormous but are teeny tinyTFL

This week's theme on SPA is GAMES chosen by the wonderful Peggy ... automatically I think of Bingo, cards, chess which in turn makes me think of ALICE IN WONDERLAND
but of course, games could be lots of things... like cricket, football, etc although on more thought they are classed as SPORTS games but games are games non the less.
So as I'd treated myself to a new set of STAMPERIA Alice items I decided to go ahead with using these to create my postcard.
I used old Alice book pages to begin the collage background, added gesso and texture paste through a stencil. And then proceeded to start my chipboard collage and use paint my postcard. I added crackle glaze on the chipboard pieces too and used Distress Crayons on top of that to create the crackle effect
Yes its definitely Old Age!!! I dont want to grow old gracefully... I want to stop being saggy and baggy.
I hate the aging process! Everything heading south. I dont see myself in the mirror these days but more and more I see my mum
I made this postcard using illustrations from this book i found in a charity shop. Such beautiful illustrations and I cant say no to a pound!!

Happy Sunday
Mandy xx
This is such an ideal theme for me as everything I made literally begins with old book pages as a base layer. Then I start layering upwards with different textures and collage pieces.
This 'deer girl' image is from Maremi Small Art... Shes got some fabulously cute digital collage sheets on her website
I turned my postcard into a card for my friends birthday
