Keeping busy

I've been trying to keep busy but it's been hard. I just keep thinking of poor little Diego.

This started as a 'keep busy' project for Sunday Stamper.... use Blue.  Which then turned into my project for Happy Daze and I've just seen the theme on Simon Says Stamp and Show is travel which I think because of the words I can use this piece for that too :-)

R.I.P DIEGO

On Friday evening, we had a knock at the door, our little baby boy kitty Diego had been knocked down and killed, right outside our house.
To say the least, we are all devastated. We had watched and helped Gomez give birth to him and we had cared for him since her was born.
He was such a sassy little thing. Very cheeky but such a soppy boy. He followed our ginger cat around so much, he wanted to be just like him.
Only 15 minutes before this happened I was watching him play in the garden.
Poor Diego, he will be missed greatly. I'll miss my crochet buddy, he always sat next to me.

Wonder

Here is my tag for Happy Daze this week. You can see how I made it over here.

I'm entering it into the Simon Says Stamp and Show ~ use colour. I've used quite a selection of paints and stains on this tag. It began with Shaded Lilac and progressed from there.

I've used a few Artistic Oupost sets and would like to enter it into April's referral program

Tape it!

SPA has been taken over this week by tape... any and all tape. I chose to use washi tape. I love those little spools of lush paper tape.
My first thought was to make a rosette using the washi (a la Hels Sheridan) alas it wouldn't work for me! lol So I just slapped some on my mixed media postcards.
I'm still managing to use ALL lisas altered art collage images so far this year. (it was a challenge to myself to use only LAA for ALL my postcards this year ~ so far so good) and I'm dead chuffed with myself. I don't usually last this long lol

BEE Happy

Seems Spring has finally reached our shores. I've seen a few bees around the past few days. they are huge and seem quite dopey. I don't mind bees so much but wasps. S.c.a.r.e.y.

 On Wicked Wednesday the theme is black, white plus one colour. guess what colour I chose?

Tuesday Chinwag

Wow, how come time goes so fast? Having a lovely hot cup of tea so I thought it was time for a little catchup on my blog. ..... hmmm

Firstly, some art  I've made this tag for That's Crafty ~ you can see how it's made over on their blog. Crazy Amigos want us to make backgrounds this week so I'm entering this tag for the challenge.

 Hidden Vintage Studios have a new kit out on Deviantscrap called Swing into Spring. I'd like to enter this into one stitch at a time bright theme

 On Sunday Stamper Hels wants us to embrace paint.... each of these pieces has paint AND stamping on them.

Vintage telephone is the theme this week. Victoria was inspired, in part, by the song Telephone Man. I have to hold my head up and admit... this single playing record was my first ever purchase in the music dept. yes sad I know.

Sweet day

for some! It's a bank holiday in the UK today but alas there's no rest for me. I'm about to head off to the twilight zone.
