on DillyBeans this week the theme is Skulls and Skellies. I've made 2 pieces for this theme. firstly a tag and then a card!

The card background was made using TH 'chipped sapphire' distress ink and TH stamps spills and spatters. The red background was made using TH 'worn lipstick' 'chipped sapphire' and 'fired brick' then the background stamp used is Creative Expressions ART collage (all items available from That's Crafty (there's also FREE p&p over £20.00)

Creativity Inspired!

WOW ! this weekend, I've even impressed myself ! My weekend with Anne was uber creative ~ we had a background making session to begin with ~ shaving foam with re-inkers, then re-inkers with water and then distress backgrounds. Made (ahem) a few!

Happy Mother's Day

to all our mums in the UK.

Of course my two girls came up trumps yet again. They got me a framed picture of the 'dishonourable phil' spencer. It is a joke in our house that as Kirsty is the honourable Kirsty that Phil must be dishonourable. So that's what we call him, never laughed so much when they presented this to me this morning in bed, he's taken pride of place on the wall now.

I got pancakes and tea in bed ~ yummy! and Little A didn't burn the house down! (A bonus)

I got the picture, a couple of gorgeous bracelets and a wonderful little plate.

Thanks girls! you are the best.

Birthday Girl Kate

My mate, Kate is {bleep} years old today so I want to wish her a HB. I quite like how this card has turned out, as on Wednesday I sliced through my thumb and it's bandaged up and impossible to do anything, in fact I couldn't even get to grips with a pair of scissors yesterday!

Getting Inky

Clever ole me, went out yesterday to see my friend, Claudia. I left my glasses at her house! aaaggh! it's about an hour's walk over there and I have my shopping coming today so.... no reading, no cutting out! What to do? I did a bit of tidying up and came across this old watercolour pad I've had for years, just a cheapie one from The Works.

So I set the tidying to the back of my mind and got inky with my spritzers

and I ended up with 13 backgrounds.

I'm having to get Little A to proof read this so it makes sense, as I cannot see a darn thing!

Encourage your Hopes

Here is a giant tag that I've made, I am loving these big tags! I added an old book page and painted the background randomly with Jenni Bowlin paint dabbers. (these are such gorgeous colours) Then I stamped the background with this Queen Kat stamp, and some Tim Holtz stamps to grunge it up abit. I also used a retro TH stamp for the main image.

A host of Golden Daffodils

This week on SPA, we have celebrating St David's Day... a couple of days late as it's on 1st March but the daff's are out... I've got a plethora of them showing their yellow heads in my garden. I'd also like to enter this into The Stamp Man's theme of spring colours
