Oh Christmas Tree, oh Christmas Tree

This weeks SundayPostcardArt was chosen by Sandie and the theme is TRADITIONS

Christmas, for me, is probably the most traditional time. Our family traditions start on Christmas Eve with a takeaway pizza. And then on Boxing day we've always had a retro buffet.

My postcard features a tree. As a child with always had a real tree, it seemed so big and we always had candles on it which were lit on Christmas Day. I think this tradition comes from my mum as shes German.

A wonderful postcard Mandy.
I can so relate to your post, my mother was German and for years she had real candles on the christmas tree. I used to watch it all the time incase the tree burst in to flames, it never did, a miracle really, lol.
I was relieved when she had a set of electric fairy lights, which in those day were so big!...but safer.
Thank you so much for playing along with my theme..x
