feeling grateful

our theme over on SPA this week is GRATITUDE...

there's so much I feel sad for these days but I do have some bright spots in my life... my beautiful daughter, my friends and then there is nature. i am truly grateful for the beauty that surrounds us in nature.
Whilst I was making my postcard, I was debating what I wanted to do on it. I decided on nature and what happened? a ladybird appeared on my work table! a sure sign i was going in the right direction.

wow.... my mojo has been stuck in a rut for sometime now.... i just cannot seem to motivate myself to make anything paperie.

But thankfully, this week Mr Mojojojo has paid me a little visit to make this postcard.

Venus Smiles Not in a House of Tears

Legs Eleven

This week, Marion has chosen the theme of STRIPEY LEGS.

The theme is close to my heart... I love all things ZETTI. I have a whole box of zetti dolls I've made over the years. I scan them and keep the originals and then I can resize them as and when I want to use them

This first one is an altered Frida doll. Really pleased with this postcard

 The second postcard I've made this week, is using a 'doll' I made. I love using giant eyes

Perfect little Gems

This year (yes i know it's May) I have been doing a monthly swap with a couple of friends of INDEX CARDS. I picked up a folder of index cards from Wilkos for a pound. And as we all know as artists we see things we can make with ordinary things. So a got a few and posted them off to some friends so we could do some swaps.

These two are made by me to keep for me... this months theme is Insects for one swap and mice/rats for the other. 

I love this little size... slightly larger than an ATC but not as big as a postcard... a perfect way to try techniques and products on.
A few week's ago I asked on INSTAGRAM if anyone wanted to trade so I've had a number of fabulous swaps going on. It's so much fun!

Embrace Childhood

This year is the 10 year anniversary of Sunday Postcard Art. My friend Donna (who went on to other things) and I started it so long ago.... challenge blog were all about making art for art sake in those days, except for a number of other blogs just for fun, they seem to mostly offer 'prizes'
I'm so glad we on Sunday Postcard Art continue to support each other after all these years and keep the art flowing!

this isn't a great pic but hopefully tomorrow in the daylight I will be able to get a better one.
