this week is Anne's theme on SPA.... it's Zentangles/Doodles....
I'm not a zentangler, I just don't do it.... but I did come across these images from Hidden Vintage Studios that have 'zentangle' girls in it. So I've used those
textured background, rubons, paints, stamps, inks.

Adventures in Laying an egg
Good Easter Morning my lovelies
This week on Sunday Postcard Art our theme is Easter,
I used this image I've had in my printed out stash for a while.
I did want to go vintage but the ink in my printer has run out. (Typical!)
and so.... I've gone whimsical!
come over and join us!
we'd love to see you over there.

own your dreams Canvas step by step
Here's a canvas Ive made for ScrapUnlimited.... all the chipboard, flowers, brass and the face all came from there. It's a fantastic shop... go check it out!
I started with a canvas that I added some masking tape and some washi tape to
Next came some texture in the form of Crackle Paint and a Prima stencil
I added all my bits and bobs to the canvas using texture paste as a glue
covered everything with gesso
and... decided I would use my Finnabair paints... however a couple of them I just couldn't open! lol
the canvas turned out way too pretty for me
and so.... I grunged it up with some black paint and a TH stencil
and here it is... plus some close ups

Anyone for Spam?
I'm sure spam was the best friend of the modern housewife at some point in history!
And LOOK! This young lady's dream has come true of a new mixer!
The world is now her oyster
She dreamt big and was rewarded

E= mc 2
This week's theme over on SPA was chosen by Marion, and it's Einstein.
And so I went on a search through the Pinterest archives to find a less well known image of Albert.... and I found this one with him and his sister .... more my style nice and vintage.
I love playing with layers and layers

Gentlemen take a Bow
This week on SPA it's time for the gents.... of the vintage variety.
have fun and come and join us!
i was super excited to receive my DT package from Bettina at ScrapUnlimited
so many gorgeous elements I can use
Firstly, I took an A5 canvas board, I used texture paste through a script stencil, added a few bits of collage pieces of paper and used crackle paint instead of gesso, just to add some more texture
Once dry, I used some distress paints and blended them together with a baby wipe. And some distress crayon around the edge, that I rubbed into the crackle paint.
Next, I used some metallic gold paint through a Prima stencil (damask) and added some splatter with a Lindys spray
Here I start assembling my focal image, I used a vintage lady image
and added a Scrapinec chipboard frame around her,
then added some rose ephemera
I added the flowers from ScrapUnlimited on top of the rose epherema
and followed the frame around with the flowers.
I added the metal keyhole to the top of the focal image.
I keep adding paint and distress crayons to bring colour
to the background so it blends with the background
Lastly, I added some glitter paste through a stencil
around the frame. Added some stamping and inked around the edges
Here is a close up pic of the focal image.
Thank you for looking
I've enjoyed making this

I've some GREAT NEWS I've been asked to join the DT of Scrap Unlimited from the Netherlands.... they have fantastic stuff for sale and I'm hoping to continue my journey into mixed media.
so watch this space for some makes from me and check out the online shop
I got this recipe from Carol, who got it from a magazine... I've tweaked it to be vegan.
They taste good AND so does the raw mixture
what you need is
170g vegan marg
150g brown sugar
2 tbsps. apple sauce (30ml)
tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp bicarb
85g seeds/coconut/nuts/dried fruit
Mix together the marg, sugar , vanilla and apple sauce
then add the dry ingredients.
For this batch I used some goji berries, coconut and sunflower seeds
Once I'd mixed it up, I split it into 3 and added cocoa to one batch, choc chips to another and left the other plain.
Roll into balls and place on a baking sheet, press with a fork and bake at Gas 5 for 10-15 mins.
Once cool, I drizzled melted dark choc on top.
Diablo looking serious lol
and the beginning of a mini blanket for the Cat shelter, I'm using my bits up to make a few for them.
Fly my pretties
Butterflies is the theme this week on SPA, chosen by the wonderfully talented Jenn as in Mixed Media Jenn.... I sub to her on YT ... I'm a tad addicted to YT I must admit. lol
Here's my butterfly postcard... I've used the crackle paint again... I just can't get enough of it. I've been using in place of gesso
hope you get a chance to join in with us.
