This week on SPA our host is Nancy Maxwell James and she has chosen the theme of "birthstones". I was a bit stumped at first with this theme, but figured I'd think of it more of a colour theme. I was born in October so my birthstone is an opal, which isn't a colour as such! lol
but I came up with these 2 postcards for the theme.
on SPA this week we are celebrating Valentines Day. here is my postcards for this. I've used my fave stamp of the moment, the grungy heart by tim holtz. can't stop using it! it's a fantastic background stamp. TFL
... or films. This is the theme on SPA chosen by Kris. I am in love with Kris' style of collage artwork and she is totally inspiring.
I've done 2 postcards, firstly THE KID ~ a Charlie Chaplin classic. (background made with mists, Kid stamp and crafters workshop mask ~ all available from That's crafty)
and Audrey Hepburn in the classic BREAKFAST AT TIFFANYS (background is misted, stamped with Kaisercraft mini stamp and the Audrey Hepburn stamp from the octopode factory, finished by drawing the little circles through a mask ~ all available at That's crafty online) thanks to Kris for hosting and thanks for looking!
I am going to be working with That's Crafty ~ an online shop that sells fabulous items, loads of rubberstamps, lots of journalling things, lots of paints, spritzers and inks. ooohhh it's so exciting! I will be getting my first package soon and I cannot wait to play... it's like Christmas!
is the theme over at the TOFF challenge. I decided to use this guy from the Steampunk Nippers set as he rarely gets used. I made the card then began looking for a suitable quote, low and behold I stumbled upon this one from Orson Welles! How very apt... so I used it! It says "a film is never really good unless the camera is in an eye in the head of a poet"
