get ye tartan on

well.... so much for blogging more! I seem to have had so many problems with technology just lately. Firstly, my computer decided it didn't want me to play, then Lily's laptop stopped working and now my phone has been stolen! I'm not having much luck

But here I am, getting my tartan on for this week's SPA theme of BURNS NIGHT/SCOTLAND

I am always looking for new and inspiring/thought provoking themes to keep people on their toes, so hopefully this will do the trick.

PAISLEY ~ yes this is the theme on Sunday Postcard Art this week...

i've created my postcard by stamping paisley on the background, then using distress inks and other bits of collaged stamped images.

Walking in the Rain

I love having Amber home for a while, we hardly get to spend much time together so when I do get some time off, we are trying to do things together.

On New Years Day we headed over to our fave place Elvaston Castle in Elvaston. It was rainy and muddy but it's always an interesting place to visit. I love looking at the trees, walking through them, absorbing their energy.

The stamps are old that I've used but the background incorporates a few new things. Paints and a new stencil :-)

the background looks completely different in this picture compared to the scanned finished postcard as I used neon paints which do not scan well at all.

set up my etsy shop Mimi's Emporium.

My main goal this year is blog more. To have bright and colourful photos and interesting posts. I've let my blog go by the wayside recently with working full-time, facebook and instagram have been a quick way of showing my art and life and my little blog has been left lonely and deserted for the most part. And so.... here's to a much better year this year. chin chin
