then.... I was stumped... until last night when I sat down, got my collage images out and had a play. I had packed all my art stuff away as I had had yet another hounding visit from the council. So with the art stuff packed away, Id clearly packed away my motivation too.
Luckily, I have a bountiful stash of the Tim Holtz paperdolls at hand as I have yet to purchase any new ink for my printer. I have so many preprinted images anyway. I felt sure I could find something to work with.
This is the second postcard I made, I layered up the background with vintage papers, then used a napkin with flowers on it in the background. I added texture paste and the paperdolls, The flowers are cut from a scrapbook paper.
This way my first postcard for this theme... i love the colours on this one. i wasn't too sure if I had added enough florals.
I was in the mood to get messy I know that. lol

They are both wonderful and I adore those big cabbage roses.
ReplyDeleteBoth are beautiful, and I fully understand about getting stumped to create something for a theme, as you know. I'm sorry to hear the council was hounding you. I don't know who they are, but they sound unpleasant.
ReplyDeleteSorry you were hounded by the council Mandy, your cards look fantastic though, they both look great!! I loved being host, and should probably play in the challenge more often as I actually love the postcard format....
