i was super excited to receive my DT package from Bettina at ScrapUnlimited
Firstly, I took an A5 canvas board, I used texture paste through a script stencil, added a few bits of collage pieces of paper and used crackle paint instead of gesso, just to add some more texture
Once dry, I used some distress paints and blended them together with a baby wipe. And some distress crayon around the edge, that I rubbed into the crackle paint.
Next, I used some metallic gold paint through a Prima stencil (damask) and added some splatter with a Lindys spray
Here I start assembling my focal image, I used a vintage lady image
and added a Scrapinec chipboard frame around her,
then added some rose ephemera
I added the flowers from ScrapUnlimited on top of the rose epherema
and followed the frame around with the flowers.
I added the metal keyhole to the top of the focal image.
I keep adding paint and distress crayons to bring colour
to the background so it blends with the background
Lastly, I added some glitter paste through a stencil
around the frame. Added some stamping and inked around the edges
Here is a close up pic of the focal image.
Thank you for looking
I've enjoyed making this

ReplyDeleteI just ran across your blog which I love. I especially like the way you explained how you did the background on this. So often I see something online that I really like but you went the extra mile and explained your technique. Thanks for the excellent step-by-step. Lovely.
