yes I am sooo pleased with myself! I kept wanting to do some machine stitching but was too scared in case it went wrong and ruined my artwork. But yesterday I had the machine out sewing an art bag for Lily so I thought *go for it* so I did!
I'm using these for the MMM challenge which is something new as stitching on cards is something new and very EXCITING for me! lol
I used Spice it Up collage sheets for the images and the backgrounds are both handmade by moi.
Oh wow these are lovely.
ReplyDeleteReally gorgeous work. Love them.
They look great, shame about the stitching.......no only joking! Works great as a border :)
ReplyDeleteThese are great. Sewing machines and me were never a great mix so this is one technique I'm never likely to try!!

ReplyDeleteWell, I think you've inspired me yet again, Mandy! The stitching adds such wonderful detail to these collages. I've always admired the complexity of your work, and you've added one more element of design. I've thought about using stiches in my art before, but until now, I've been a bit too intimidated to try.
ReplyDeleteClever you - both for the stitching and the great backgrounds.
ReplyDeleteI love looking at your art--it's very cool!!
ReplyDeleteMandy, I find both of these pieces fantastic and beautiful. Great design!
ReplyDeleteAren't you glad you've taken the plunge? :-) The good thing about stitching on artwork is it doesn't have to be perfect - in fact it looks better when it isn't.
ReplyDeleteGreat atcs, Mandy. WD
ReplyDeleteGreat work as always Mandy! Love them both!
ReplyDeleteThese are great, Mandy. I'm afraid to try stitching on cardstock for fear I'll screw up the tension on my machine. Any secrets? Both your cards are colorful and artful! Well done.
ReplyDeleteLove the stitching. Wonderful cards, both of them.
ReplyDeleteYou are so talented and such an inspiration--I love your work!!!
